Brand new music Phenomenon emerging from Australia promises to take the music Industry by storm
Winwintunes is a promotion being offered by Sydney based Independent label Songs Are People (SRP). A first of its kind coming from a music company SRP have made an appeal to encourage people to download the song ‘Like the River’ recorded Live at the Sydney Opera House by MKF, a band representing a new genre ( World/Pop) created by legendary World music artist Mahmood Khan. Like the River created music history when it crossed over to mainstream Pop music in Australia going to number One.
Everyone who downloads the song enters into a draw to win prizes of $25,000 $50,000 and $100,000.Every download will count as an entry. The first winner for $25,000 will be announced once the song reaches 330,000 downloads, the next winner for $50,000 will be announced once the song attains 660,000 downloads and the grand winner for $100,000 will be announced once the song gains one million downloads. Winner for the Gibson guitar will be announced when any of the songs reach 10000 downloads.
SRP is jazzed about offering these promotions to people which will encourage downloads and give something back to the fans and the community. It also persuades people who are downloading illegally to make a difference with an accountable download.
A significant part of the sales revenue will be donated to Bhavan Cares, a non profit registered charity with DGR status. Bhavan Cares is a part of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Australia, a multicultural NGO dedicated to spreading peace and harmony in the world.
“Gone are the days of just offering concert tickets and back stage passes to fans. We have just raised the stakes and to me people who buy my work are my biggest asset and I would love to change a life one song at a time. It is a new era for the music business. This concept also empowers the Independent Artists. Now they can create music revenue streams and invest it back in their work”, said Mahmood Khan.
The promotion will kick off on a Live Internet broadcast of Mahmood Khan’s branded channel on Livestream hosted by Ellie Culington. The program called ‘Journey of a new sound’ is airing weekly on Livestream.
The program contains Unplugged performances, chit chat with the artists, a good glimpse at music production from inside recording studios, tips and tricks of the recording/production process, sound mixing and broadcasting from land marks around the world in Nepal, Dubai, Egypt, Australia and Vietnam.
